Vindicator To Whip Wind Energy Into Shape

Vindicator is the latest advancement of laser technology that makes wind turbine to work better.

Vindicator is fiber optic laser wind sensing system that measures real-time vertical and horizontal wind direction and speed at varying ranges ahead of sensor location.

Catch the Wind is the company that provides a testing unit to the U.S. department of energy facility for a couple of years. The lab will use the wind sensing system, which is basically designed to cut the stress loads on wind turbines and increase its energy output.

The Vindicator works by using fiber optic lasers to sense the wind that’s approaching a turbine at various ranges. The info is then reported to the wind turbine’s control system, which adjusts the turbine accordingly, the company says.
